Lowery has Come so Far Thanks to these Sweet Ladies

From the sweet newborn baby that used to take up to 2 hours to feed just 2 ounces to the toddler who is meeting milestones and taking names, you have come so far. People look at Lowery and wonder if he is even the same kid and comment on how great he is doing all the time. It took more therapy sessions (at one time 5 minimum per week) and appointments than I would ever care to recount but here we are. While I won't say that we are completely finished, we have completed part of our journey where at times I wasn't sure if we would make it to this point. I wanted to take a brief minute and say "thank you" to the therapists, doctors, specialists (5 other specialists not pictured below) and caseworkers (5 not pictured below) who have gotten us to this point. These ladies pictures below never cease to amaze me - they showed up for us time and time again and never waived from having sweet Lowery's best interest at heart! Happy 4th Golden Birthday Lawson Boy!

This post was originally done on April 4, 2020. I forgot to post it after Lowery was adopted. Opps... here it is over a year later.  This birthday definitely looks different than Lawson's previous birthdays. Never in a million years would I have believed that we would be sheltering in place and living on our emergency fund. Sweet Lawson knows about the virus and knows that we have to stay at home right now but is more than ever excited about his Golden Birthday. He is 4 on the 4th and we are thrilled that he is ours and we get to spend this entire day together! While Lawson looks like he could be in kindergarten, this last year reminds me he is still closer to being a toddler than in grade school. Our BIG boy continues to top the growth charts but still will jump into our arms when he is hurt or not feeling well. He loves to snuggle before bed and naps and gives you the best kisses and hugs.
