1st Annual Christmas Weekend

The Magic of Christmas through your kids eyes is one of the things I love most about this season. Without diminishing the true reason for the season and why celebrating the birth of Jesus is so important, Landon and I are not against a little Santa fun! I first heard about the Christmas Experience at JW Marriott from my aunt, Barbie and I knew from that moment we had to take our kids. Per recommendations, we made our reservations in Summer 2017 with some dear new friends and anxiously awaited for our weekend. I must say I never dreamed it would be so magical but with accumulated snow on the ground the night before and a stay-cation awaiting for us just up 281, we were in an awesome weekend! We were in for a Christmas Overload! Room from our Room Still snow on the ground View at night Smores! Sticky but Yum! Emerson boys! Story Time with Elves Light the Night right after stargazing Crashing Tetco party! Breakfast with Santa!...

Snow in San Antone

Yall I might have been just a tad more excited than my kids when it started snowing the evening of December 7. But flash back to that morning and I would have never thought that it was going to snow later that night. Right then I saw some really thick raindrops out the kitchen window and went outside to take a closer look. Sure enough it was snowing and it was starting to stick. The weather app updated immediately and we got the kids out of the tub and dressed so they could witness and see snow for the first time.  It was amazing watching the...

Grandparent's Day with LilyB

To say that Lyndi was thrilled to take LilyB to school last Friday was an understatement. One of the things I love about our preschool is the amount of effort that goes into involving families and the community. It seems like every week there is a special event for the children to look forward to. Grandparent's Day is no different and celebrates the special bond children have with their grandparents. For Lyndi, it meant that LilyB got to do everything she does during the day. She wanted to show her everything including her favorite the playground. Lyndi got to introduce her precious LilyB to her teachers, take her to the book fair and attend chapel where I can almost bet that LilyB took some money from her wallet so that Lyndi could have a little something to put in the offering. I picked them up from school to see the biggest smile on Lyndi's face. We headed to lunch to discuss all about our morning. To say we had a great time together was an understatement! We loved it! T...
