The Meaning Behind Lawson Erick

Lawson Erick Ludwick Do you see a pattern? I bet you can't guess it! Landon, Lauren, Lyndon, Laine and Lawson - we love our "L" names. Landon and I have never wavered on this name ever since I brought it up even before Baby L #1 was conceived. We love different, strong, and not to abnormal names that aren't common. We want to give our children names that have meaning and a strong foundation because we think it is important that they understand their background and family history.  We even considered using this name if we had a girl because we loved it so much but ultimately decided on another girl name should "It's a Girl!" came from Landon's mouth on April 4. When we found out we were pregnant for the third time, we spent most of our time debating on another girl name. We tossed around a few other boy names that we love as well but always ended up settling on Lawson Erick. There are many reasons for this: 1. We were almost 100% sure...

Lawson's Birth Story - Part 2

To say I was nervous or anxious about having a C Section is a complete and total understatement. Although I really only like to express those feelings to Landon and try to remain cool, calm and collected on the outside, I was a nervous wreck leading up to April 4. At the same time, I was also so thankful to make it to the 4th because that meant my doctor who we love and respect would be able to preform the surgery and not another doctor who I didn't have a relationship with. I didn't want to have any regrets about having this child naturally and wishing I had a C Section or visa versa. I knew as we got closer and closer to my due date that most likely I would deliver our child via C Section and I was okay with this knowing what my recovery was like with Lyndon. It seriously took me a year to recover fully and feel ...

Lawson's Birth Story - Part 1

Originally I had been told that we would have to wait 3 cycles after miscarrying Laine until we could try to get pregnant again. Because my doctor was not available during the time I started to miscarry, I wanted to make sure that we met with her and get some lingering questions answered. I wasn't really comfortable with anyone I saw during that time but Landon told me that I would have hated anyone other than my doctor who walked into the room. He was probably right! I really didn't have one positive thing to say about anyone.  We decided to keep my original sonogram and doctor's appointment I had with my OB but just change it to an office visit because I wanted to know what her thoughts were about our situation. I can't tell you enough how much I love my doctor and I am so thankful that she has been there for us every step of the way and goes out of her way to answer every single question I have. She stayed with me for so long after Lyndon was born when she wasn...
