Remembering Laine!

Laine Chapman Ludwick May 26, 2015 "I have called you by name, You are mine." Isaiah 43:1 Today I am going to step out of my comfort zone and share what has been weighing on my heart... Losing Laine Chapman Ludwick has been a huge blow to Landon and I! I was pregnant, I felt pregnant. I was moody, felt sick all the time, my boobs hurt, and wanted to sleep for hours. I was looking forward to holding my new baby in my arms soon! Landon and I were excited when we took the test together even though we both knew it would read positive well in advance of taking it. I immediately went into plan mode and starting thinking about all of the exciting things that the next year would bring. I will be the first to say that God has blessed my life tremendously. I have so so so so much to be thankful for. More than I even realize. He has seen me through my struggles and obstacles in the past and I know He will see me through this one and every other valley in the future. I have...

Let Me Introduce You to...

Laine Chapman Ludwick May 26, 2015 6 weeks 1 day These pictures were taken at my follow up appointment... Laine can not be seen as well but they are our only pictures! So wish I was able to get pictures of Laine earlier! Flashback to April 20, 2013.... My dad had just passed 8 weeks prior, Landon had to be in DC for training that week and decided that I would fly out to meet him after work on Friday so I didn't have to be alone with my thoughts for so long. On the outside, I was cool, calm, collected and maintaining the status quo but on the inside I was an emotional wreck. I had just lost my daddy and couldn't wrap my mind around the questions I had regarding the month of February.   We went out for drinks that evening and I may or may not had a little to much to drink. Well one thing led to another and Lyndon McKinley was conceived. Needless to say we were in denial about it and didn't take a pregnancy test till May 28, 2013. I couldn't be pregnan...

Lyndon's Baby Blessing

Protect this tiny baby,  Blessed by You today.  Guide these little feet, to follow in Your way! Landon and I knew that we wanted Lyndon to be blessed at our church in San Antonio! This church is more than just a place where our faith has grown. It is the place where Landon's roommate invited me to attend and I met Landon for the first time at their house. It is the place where I prayed for our growing relationship and spent countless hours pleading on Landon's behalf for his dental school patients to show up so he could pass! It is the place that we compare every church that we attend to and the reason we have had a difficult time finding churches in North Carolina and Corpus. When it came time to decide where we wanted Lyndi's blessing to take place, there was not a hesitation in our minds.  Oak Hills only offers Baby Blessing twice a year which made for a very busy January. After celebrating her birthday we headed to San Antonio for the next two weeke...

Lyndon's First Birthday: Let's Celebrate!

Today's extra special because you turn ONE! We'll eat cake and ice cream and have lots of FUN! It seems like just yesterday you were brand New! And now, there are so many things you can do! We'll light your first candle and make a big fuss to sure that you know you are precious to US! Today's extra special because you turn ONE! And the best thing of all is - your life has just BEGUN! We ended the day with Lyndi getting to munch down on her very first cupcake! I had been busy that week trying to prepare for her birthday party that weekend and decided to make the cupcakes early so she could have one on her actual day. Besides I thought it would be great to celebrate with just the three of us and enjoy our little girl! It was off to bed after our mini celebration and her bath... Landon and I spent the rest of the night talking about our love bug and how much joy she has brought to our lives! So thankful she made me a mommy! R...
