This post was originally written on October 1, 2019. Three fourths of Lowery's first year is upon us! Only 3 more months and our little caboose will be one year old. So hard to believe!! We had had a great month and I can't wait to see where the next 3 months take us... my prayers is that we have more clarity about Lowery's future in our home and can officially announce his L name. I dream about the ways in which Landon and I are going to reveal that his name is Lowery Lyle Ludwick but that all depends on timing and the direction that CPS takes. But before any of that can happen, I want to share all the exciting things that Lowery has accomplished this month! I finally got to hear my sweet boy say "mama" for the first time! My heart melted. I know he doesn't associate mama with me yet but just hearing him babble more and make more sounds makes me so hopeful that Lowery will not experience any speech delays.  *** This post was originally written on September 1, 2019. I honestly wasn't even sure that when we started this journey with Lowery, that he would still be in our home at this point. And to be quite honest, I still not even sure how long he will be with us which is so scary but also allows me to trust only on God and His Will for His child. We have come such a long way and with every passing day, our love for him and his connection to our family grows. When I first saw his picture, I felt in love immediately and felt like Lowery was mine - a baby that God had entrusted me to protect, advocate and care for in ways that I have never had to do with my other babies. But here we are celebrating Lowery's 8 months of life and all the improvements he has made in our home and our love for him has grown ten times over. This month we celebrated a lot of victories. *** This post was originally written on August 1, 2020.  Another month has come and gone and I am not sure we could love Lowery anymore! Lowery we are so glad you are in our home and we pray that you will be here forever!! This month was filled with some big up and downs in regards to Lowery's future in our home. I think the beginning of this last month was the lowest point of our journey so far. We had court right after Lowery's 6 month birthday in which we had been told repeatedly that CPS was starting the process to pave the way for him to be ours forever. All of that came crashing down 5 minutes before court and everything change. A mistake was made and while I won't go into details, we faced a big setback.
