What a Whirlwind! - 8 Months

It is hard to believe another month has come and gone. This last month has been crazy and I can't even begin to tell you much change has continued to transpire over the last month. We have officially said goodbye (but not forever) to our precious "framily" in Corpus Christi, packed up our house and have moved into a "furnished" rent house in San Antonio while our home continues to undergo a remodel. Landon has basically spent the last month and half away from us while he was working at the practice in San Antonio and I got things squared away in Corpus. I think that has been the hardest part - Landon has worked so hard getting things in the house accomplished and at the same time trying to get the practice off the ground. Being a single mom the majority of the week is no joke. I don't sleep as well and my patience tends to run on empty but we made it. Our lives and calendar continued to change daily due to military craziness and getting a new and different...

Lawson is 7 Months!

So much has happened this last month and it honestly has been a whirlwind. Landon and I are both exhausted and we know it won't let up until we get things settled which most likely won't be until after the first of the year. Even though we are drained, things have been falling into place so we can finally reveal our big announcement: Drum roll please... it is with much anticipation and great excitement that we announce we are officially owners of a home and dental practice in San Antonio. We are heading back to where it all began and we couldn't be more excited. We closed on our very first home and the dental practice on the same day. It was a little scary when we looked at our bank account that evening but we have been preparing for this day since before we got married. We have been working on this since January 2016 and things are finally starting to fall into place. They are not necessarily settling down but with each week things are getting checked off the to do li...

Happy Half Birthday to Lawson Erick!

It truly is incredible to look back on the last 6 months and take in all of the blessings God has bestowed upon our family. In Lawson's first 6 months of life not only has he encountered huge baby milestones but our little family has made some pretty BIG decisions that will have a significant impact on the rest of our lives. I will save the BIG news for next month's post but until then I will dive right into our lives this last month... We started off the month in the midst of traveling 5 weekends in a row. All I can say is that although I am super grateful to have our families close by, traveling with 2 kids is tough work. The sheer amount of "crap" that is needed for a long weekend is incredible and I am happy that we will be staying home for the most part next month. At the beginning of the month,we headed to Houston to celebrate Malorie's 30th birthday and enjoy Labor Day Weekend! Josefina, our beloved housekeeper, watched our kids while the adults went to...
