Lyndon's First Birthday: Let's Celebrate!

Today's extra special because you turn ONE! We'll eat cake and ice cream and have lots of FUN! It seems like just yesterday you were brand New! And now, there are so many things you can do! We'll light your first candle and make a big fuss to sure that you know you are precious to US! Today's extra special because you turn ONE! And the best thing of all is - your life has just BEGUN! We ended the day with Lyndi getting to munch down on her very first cupcake! I had been busy that week trying to prepare for her birthday party that weekend and decided to make the cupcakes early so she could have one on her actual day. Besides I thought it would be great to celebrate with just the three of us and enjoy our little girl! It was off to bed after our mini celebration and her bath... Landon and I spent the rest of the night talking about our love bug and how much joy she has brought to our lives! So thankful she made me a mommy! R...

Miss you Daddy!

In Memory Of My Dad If I could write a story It would be the greatest ever told Of a kind and loving father Who had a heart of  gold If I could write a million pages But still be unable to say, just how much I love and miss him every single day I will remember all he taught me I'm hurt but won't be sad Because he'll send me down the answers And he'll always be MY DAD -Author Unknown You told me a long time ago this was your favorite Christian song! I am so glad that I have this memory! "I Can Only Imagine" I can only imagine  What it will be like  When I walk  By your side  I can only imagine  What my eyes will see  When your face  Is before me  I can only imagine  Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel  Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still  Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall  Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak a...

I wasn't really sure how I was going to make everything work with the amount of traveling and weddings we had going on last summer but I was bound and determined to make it memorable.  I decided that it would be fun to have a little getaway with just us one weekend and to throw a birthday party with friends and family another weekend. I knew early on that we would not be able to do it his actual birthday weekend because my dear friend, Olivia, was getting hitched and I was in the wedding. I reached out to good family friends, the Hansons (well technically - they are family) about using their Port Aransas house for the weekend who previously offered it to us. She was so excited that I was going to take her up on her...
