And Just Like That...

... She is off! Lyndi left me for the first time today to attend a summer camp. She was gone for 6 hours and even though I have been away from her several times, this time was different. She wasn't with her Daddy, a grandparent or a friend, she was at a school with 10 other kids her age learning about fruits and vegetables, where food comes from and gardening.  I can't tell you how excited she was all weekend that she was getting to go to camp. She attended with her friend Mae and they had a blast. She couldn't wait to see Mae. When we arrived at school, Mae ran to Lyndi to give her a big hug and they walked hand in hand into their classroom. When it was time to say goodbye, Lyndi could care less that I was leaving and was way more interested in the new toys that she could play with. They made apple snails for snack which was a huge hit. Lawson's Two Month Post

This was our last month in quarantine! Yeah! Our pediatrician really wanted us to not take Lawson to public places or travel until he had his first round of shots as a way to prevent Lawosn from getting any unnecessary illness (although he did have another bout with a cold this month). We have only ventured out of the house a few times but for the most part have stuck to staying home and taking our evening walks. We get our shots on Monday and you better believe I will make sure that Lawson has his first dose of Tylenol ready to go afterwards (I learned the hard way with Lyndi). This month we have had to deal with a dreaded water boil. It is the third one in 10 months and to say I am a little over it is an understatement. This one has been the hardest because I have had to take extra precautions with making sure that my breast pump is cleaned properly in addition to everything else.
