The biggest thing I miss about Corpus is our friends! During our moves with the military, we have been so fortunate to meet true friends who we love dearly. I know that no matter the distance or time that passes between our visits, we will always remain friends and pick back up where we left off.  My heart hurts for Lyndi because she truly misses her best friend, Mae. Mae is her very first friend and Lyndi asks about her constantly. She likes to look at pictures and videos of her. They are so sweet together! They were the first babies in our group of kids and have spent their first years of life together. Last week, Mae and Lyndi got to spend the day together hanging out at the Doseum and our house. They had the best time and were very upset when it was time for Mae to head back to Corpus. When we purchased the house, we knew that we wouldn't be able to do everything we wanted upfront. Once the bids started rolling in, it was obvious that it just wasn't going to happen. Even though I wish that we were able to so I don't have to live in a construction zone, we just couldn't afford to do so. That being said, we tried to do the majority of big tickets items and got a ton of stuff done. A huge shout out to my hubby, Landon! He seriously is the jack of all trades and can do anything he puts his mind to. As long as he has a YouTube video or a friend to teach him, he became instant contractor of our house. Growing up with families that are involved in custom home building and renovating houses, I have always been surrounded with real estate and building homes. I absolutely love looking at houses and love true custom homes.  Before it was popular to flip homes, my dad and Becky would seriously take us to the ugliest house on the street and say "Welcome to our new home!" Malorie and I would have fear written all over our faces. Within months we would see this awful home turn into one of the best houses on the street. The vision that Becky and my dad had was/is amazing. They would seriously walk into a home and see the tremendous amount of potential it had whereas Malorie and I would just see "CRAZY!" I also remember walking through Poops' homes that he was building as a little girl and seeing the progression of a floor plan come to life. His attention to detail and love for one of a kind houses gave me a perspective of architecture that most little girls do...
