Favorite Memory

A year ago today was one of my favorite memories of Land and my relationship together. After 7 long weeks of separation, quick emails, texts, and phone calls from under his covers and pillow so he wouldn't get in trouble, Landon finished officer training and I went to see him graduate. Officer training was very difficult because not only were we apart but I was stressed with trying to make sure everyone was happy with the wedding plans that were fast approaching. I think the situation was worse because I didn't have my man there to support me and often felt alone when trying to make the decisions. I can only imagine that this is how a deployment would feel and I dread the thought of him leaving to go to Afghanistan or Iraq for seven months. Anyway... I was counting down the days until it was over and so was Land. I couldn't wait to get on the plane to see him! When the gate changed several times and the plane was delayed, I couldn't bare the thought of ...

Tank's Toys

I realized that I haven't posted about our precious boy, Tank, in a while and I decided to give you some updates on his daily life in the Ludwick household... At least once a week, Land or I like to let Tank know that we rescued him from "puppy death" when we adopted him on my birthday last year. This usually occurs when he is continuously barking at us while we are eating thanks to his grandfather, Paul, that taught him to bark for food. (Yes - we are still working on this and hope Snickers continues to jump on the couch and bed thanks to Landon and I). There are some other mishaps that Land and I are still working on with Tank like getting excited when new people are around or running around the house in what Julie and I like to call "crazy spats". Other than that, Tank is an awesome dog and we love him like he is our son. I never thought I would feel that way but it is true! In the recent months, we have started trusting him more - he sleeps under our bed...
